Beginning a new series on 1 John titled Back to Basics, Vijay looks at 1 Jn 1.1-4. He explains that there is more going on in our faith than we think. The message of Jesus is more than knowing the details of Jesus' life, death and resurrection. It is about coming to know God intimately through Jesus. The messenger of this glorious message is more than an instrument of communication. He is part of the message of Jesus that he communicates. The proclamation of the message is much more than a simple passing on of information. It is an opportunity for the one who comes in contact with the message to literally encounter God through Jesus.
